Founded in 1994, the International Bureau for Children’s Rights – “the Bureau” or “IBCR” – is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) whose mission is to contribute to the respect and promotion of children’s rights around the world.

Through a participatory and sustainable approach, we work with our partners on the ground to promote and protect the rights of children, whether they are in contact with the justice system or facing a humanitarian crisis situation, caused by armed conflict or natural disaster. We also work to prevent all forms of exploitation, violence, abuse and neglect of children, including for sexual purposes.

Listening, participation and protection of the child are at the heart of all our actions.

Our will : to achieve a world where every child can enjoy their rights equally in all circumstances.

Our values : Respect, Integrity, Innovation and Professionalism.

Our actions : adapting our interventions to the context and needs on the ground; valuing local knowledge; encouraging children’s participation; generating a sustainable impact.
